Crockett Couple Faces New Charges

A Crockett couple have been indicted on more charges stemming from dozens of dead cats that were found in their home last year.

According to indictments obtained from the Houston County District Clerk's office, Chase Manhattan Bank alleges that Frank and Nelda Callier let the house deteriorate and lose value by allowing the cats to die inside.

Each charge is a third degree felony, punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a fine no less than $10,000.

The couple was supposed to turn themselves into authorities, but as late Monday evening, August 11, they had not done so.
