ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - ANGELINA COUNTY, Texas (KTRE) - A Lufkin man died early Wednesday and two others were seriously injured when the driver of a car hit an 18-wheeler head-on, according to the Department of Public Safety.
The report states Isaac Tucker, 19, of Pollok, was driving a 1995 Lexus southbound on U.S. 69 North, a mile south of FM 843, at 12:35 a.m., when he crossed the center line and struck the rig head-on.
One of Tucker's passengers, Nicholas Zayne Anthony, 19, of Lufkin, was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:40 a.m. Another passenger, Ryan Walton, 19, of Pollok, was listed in poor condition at a Lufkin hospital with broken bones and internal injuries, before being taken by helicopter to a Tyler hospital. An update on his condition was not available as of 10:30 a.m. Tucker was listed in serious condition at a Lufkin hospital with broken bones and internal injuries, before being taken by helicopter to a Houston hospital. The driver of the 18-wheeler, Michael Sutton, 40, of Louisiana is listed in good condition at a Lufkin hospital.
Both drivers and all passengers were wearing seatbelts.
