2/14/2011 Nacogdoches Police Report

DEATH OF A PERSON     1500 BLOCK OF LEITA LANE

Officers were called to a residence on Leita Lane in reference to an unresponsive person.  Officers found 22 year old Christopher Lamb deceased in the living room.  Investigation revealed that Mr. Lamb had attended a party at the Leita Lane address on Saturday night and had spent the night, sleeping in a chair.  He was found deceased by the residents at approximately 8 a.m. Sunday morning.  No obvious signs of foul play; an autopsy was ordered by Pct. 2 Justice of the Peace Dorothy Tigner-Thompson.  An official cause of death will be ruled by the judge when the autopsy results are completed.

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE-POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA     200 BLOCK OF SOUTH STREET

Officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic stop.  Officers searched the vehicle after smelling the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.  Officers located suspected marijuana, Hydrocodone and Ecstasy in the vehicle.  Three suspects were arrested.

FAILURE TO IDENTIFY    400 BLOCK OF NORTH STREET

A driver on a traffic stop gave officers several fictitious names.  The suspect was finally identified and was arrested.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA-DWLI    2200 BLOCK OF PAT STREET

Officer stopped a suspect that was known to have a suspended driver's license.  The suspect was also in possession of suspected marijuana.  He was arrested.

ASSAULT-CRIMINAL MISCHIEF    1800 BLOCK OF NORTH STREET

Complainant reported that during a disturbance a known suspect slapped her and broke her cell phone.  The suspect was arrested.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA    600 BLOCK OF POWERS STREET

Officer contacted a suspect due to a pedestrian violation.  The suspect was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and was arrested.

FORGERY    2400 BLOCK OF NORTH STREET

An unknown suspect used complainant's check to make a purchase without permission.
