Hill Named to NCAA Division I FCS Committees

NACOGDOCHES, Texas – Stephen F. Austin Director of Athletics Robert Hill has been named to the NCAA Division I Football Championship Committee and the Football Issues Committee. He will serve a four-year term beginning Sept. 1, 2011.
"It is an honor to represent the Southland Conference and to be in a position to participate in making FCS football as good as it can be," said Hill. "To be a part of the championship process is very exciting and I look forward to working with my colleagues from other parts of the country in strengthening the brand."
Hill will represent the Southland Conference on both committees. Sports committees deal primarily with the administration of NCAA championships. They recommend championship sites and dates, formats and select at-large teams and individuals for championship competition. In some cases, sports committees administer playing rules for their sports.
In addition to these two committees, Hill also serves as the Southland Conference representative on the FCS Athletics Directors Association Executive Committee.
