Competition for 2011 Angelina County Youth Fair is underway

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) – The 62 Annual Angelina County Youth Fair is underway this week in Lufkin at the George H. Henderson Jr. Expo Center.

A growing part of the Angelina County Youth Fair is the food competition.  Tuesday morning's events included the Forestry competition, the cakes, desserts and cheesecake competitions and Tuesday night the Rabbit Show.

More than 700 students are participating.  The first place winner and best of show in each division will have the chance to sell their goods at auction Friday night.

The event was kicked off Monday afternoon with the Broiler Show.
