2/16/2011 Lufkin Police Report

02-15-2011     Fraud              400 Block Paul Avenue

On Tuesday, February 15, 2011, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that an unidentified suspect fraudulently utilized the complainant's identifying information to obtain employment with a business located in Mont Belvieu, Texas.  According to the report, the complainant stated that they received notification from the Internal Revenue Service that complainant's Social Security Number had been linked to over $18,000 of income for which income taxes were owed.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

02-15-2011     Forgery/Counterfeiting     200 Block South First Street

On Tuesday, February 15, 2011, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that between December 20, 2010 and February 08, 2011 a known suspect fraudulently passed checks on the bank account of the complainant's father.  According to the report, the complainant stated that following recent death of his father he discovered that a family member had fraudulently issued several checks to herself and the complainant believes the checks were not authorized by his father.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation. 

02-15-2011     Criminal Mischief     600 Block Morrow Street

On Tuesday, February 15, 2011, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that at approximately 2:00 PM that date a known suspect damaged property within the complainant's residence, located in the 600 block of Morrow Street in Lufkin.  According to the report, the complainant stated that while she and the suspect, the father of the complainant's child, argued within her residence, the suspect threatened to assault her and used pliers to break the screen of the complainant's television.  According to the report, the suspect left the scene prior to the complainant contacting Lufkin Police Department but the responding officer spoke by telephone with the suspect; the suspect denied threatening the complainant but admitted to damaging the television, which he stated was his property.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

02-15-2011     Theft               900 Block Kurth Drive

On Tuesday, February 15, 2011, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that at a known suspect stole the complainant's bicycle.  According to the report, the complainant stated that on or about January 23, 2011 the complainant loaned the bicycle to the suspect but the suspect has not returned the bicycle.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation. 

02-15-2011     Burglary         300 Block East Shepherd Avenue

On Tuesday, February 15, 2011, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that sometime prior to February 11, 2011 an unidentified actor(s) burglarized the complainant's vehicles outside of the complainant's residence, located at an unknown address on Paul Avenue in Lufkin.  According to the report, the complainant stated that on February 11, 2011 the complainant noticed that a purse containing currency and prescription pain medication was missing from the backseat of the complainant's vehicle; the purse had been left in the backseat but covered by a jacket.  According to the report, the complainant stated that on February 14, 2011 the complainant noticed that a Browning brand 12-gauge shotgun was missing from behind the seat of another vehicle.  The report stated that the complainant had moved from the Paul Avenue address and did not know the house number, that the complainant identified a possible suspect, and that the incident was referred for further investigation.

02-15-2011     Criminal Mischief     400 Block Lubbock Street

On Tuesday, February 15, 2011, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that between February 12, 2011 and February 15, 2011 an unidentified actor(s) damaged windows of a church located in the 400 block of Lubbock Street in Lufkin.  According to the report, the complainant stated that actor(s) used a rock to break the glass of two windows of the church building but entry into the building was not made.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.
