LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - A Lufkin man accepted a one-year state jail sentence following a December arrest.
Winston Lee Porter, 56, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance.
According to the Lufkin Police report, a citizen told police around on Dec. 15 that Porter was a suspect in the recent burglary of his home and was traveling along Keltys Street.
The officer identified Porter as a passenger in the vehicle and took him into custody for an outstanding theft warrant. He also found him to be in possession of crack cocaine and three crack pipes, according to the report.
The burglary the citizen had referenced is still under investigation.
