LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - The long-awaited 2010 Census figures are in, with Angelina and Nacogdoches counties seeing moderate growth.
City of Nacogdoches officials aimed for a population of 30,000, and they hit it with nearly 3,000 to spare, with a count of 32,996, a 10.3 percent increase.
Nacogdoches County population rose 9 percent, to 64,524. Angelina County population rose 8.3 percent to 86,771.
The Lufkin population is up 7.2 percent, to 35,067.
