NACOGDOCHES (KTRE) – Antonio Bostic is a sophomore basketball player that came to SFA from Neosho County College in Kansas City. After coming off the bench for the first 13 games of the season he has found his way into the starting lineup for the last 10 because he is a very tenacious defender.
"It feels real good actually. Because I feel more involved and I can help the team more I just want to help the team win. It feels real good for me just to help the team out, "Bostic said.
Bostic learned that to increase his playing time on the hardwood that he would have to improve in one specific area and slide his feet and beat the offensive player to the spot.
"I think the defense helped me evolve because when I play defense I'm on the court more and so I can get a better feel of the game. Then the offense just comes natural and I just play. The defense gets me started now because that's what I have to do to play and get minutes. I use defense to help my offense out.
You can watch Bostic and the Lumberjacks Saturday afternoon February 19th against Texas State at 4:30pm at Johnson Coliseum. Antonio Bostic is Jack of the Week.
