LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - A Lufkin man on probation for soliciting sex with a person posing as a child online did not show up to an administrative hearing on Friday.

Rodney Keels, 58, began his 10-year probation sentence in May, after pleading guilty to asking  who he thought was a 13-year-old girl for sex. He was actually chatting online with an undercover agent.

Keels was scheduled for a judicial administrative hearing on Friday, following concerns that he had not fulfilled some of his requirements of his probation. But he did not show up for the hearing.

His probation officer, Lisa Page, said Keels has missed alcohol abuse meetings and sex offender therapy sessions.

Page said she will now file a violation report, which will eventually lead to a warrant for his arrest.
