Lufkin authorities release names of 2 injured in apartment stabbings

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - Two have been injured in what Lufkin Police are calling a stabbing at Pinewood Apartments in Lufkin.

Police responded to an ongoing large fight at an apartment unit on the 200 block of Percy Simond inside the complex around 6:30 p.m.  Officers found Kenneth Bogan, 45, with a stab wound to the abdomen.  During their investigation they also found a 16 year-old male with a stab wound to the neck in the 100 block of Percy Simond.

Witnesses told authorities, a large group of people entered the apartment where Bogan was located.  The group reportedly had knives and pepper spray, and were angry over a recent burglary.

Police are unsure if Bogan was the intended target of the attack.

The two victims were taken to Memorial Hospital for treatment of their lacerations.  The incident is currently under investigation.

Police were looking for a female suspect.
