City of Nacogdoches continues discount prescription card program

NACOGDOCHES, TX (News Release) - The City of Nacogdoches is excited to announce their continued participation in the National League of Cities Prescription Discount Card Program. Last month the program reached a milestone, surpassing $5 million in savings to residents nationwide.

Any individual who is without health insurance or has prescriptions not covered by their insurance can save an average of 25% on their prescription cost.

There are no limitations based on address; City, County and all other residents can use the program. "This is a free benefit to all of our residents," said City Manager Jim Jeffers, "we hope that more people will become aware of this great program and utilize the cost savings."

There is no paperwork or registration required. Citizens must simply pick up one of the cards and carry it with them to their local pharmacy. Residents can pick up the cards at over 9 locations: Nacogdoches Public Library, 1112 North Street, Nacogdoches Senior Center, 621 Harris Street, Boys and Girls Club of Nacogdoches, 2712 Park Street, Alcohol & Drug Abuse Council, 1407 N. University Drive, Douglass ISD, 20712 FM 225, City Hall, 202 E. Pilar Street- Room 203 and Room 110, Heath and Human Service, 2614 NW Stallings Drive and the Nacogdoches Police Department at 312 West Main Street.
