BEAUMONT, TX (News Release) - NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KTRE) - A Nacogdoches County grand jury has indicted a Douglass man accused of inappropriately touching a 12-year-old girl staying at the home during a February storm.
The Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office charged Francisco Hernandez, 44, with the crime on Feb. 1.
According to a previous report, Sheriff Thomas Kerss said deputies were called to the house on the 100 block of Fore Drive at 3:01 a.m. By the time they arrived, Hernandez had fled the scene on foot. It took deputies 45 minutes to find him and take him into custody.
Kerss said the victim claimed Hernandez touched him inappropriately and she immediately let family members know. It was when they confronted him that he fled.
The grand jury also indicted Terea D. Henry, of Arkansas, for money laundering.
According to a previous report, Trooper Heath White stopped Henry in January on U.S. 59 South, after she drove on the shoulder of the road. White said she appeared to be nervous and gave "untruthful stories" about why she was driving in the area.
Henry gave consent to search the vehicle and White said he found about $10,000 in the air cleaner of the vehicle.
