2/27/11 BURGLARY/VEHICLE      1200 Block of ELLEN TROUT DR

Woman reported that sometime during the evening, someone entered her locked vehicle by unknown means and had stolen her purse that contained two ladies wallets.

2/27/11 ASSAULT/A             900 Block of CARVER ST

Man reported that he was assaulted by his live-in girlfriend who knocked him off a porch.

2/26/11 THEFT                 5000 Block of LOTUS LN

Woman reported that her son's shoes were stolen from under a table at a skate rink.

2/26/11 THEFT/B               2500 Block of DANIEL MCCALL

Woman reported that sometime during the day, while at work, someone had stolen a chrome piece off of her vehicle parked at her place of employment.

2/26/11 THEFT/A               500 Block of JOYCE LN

Woman reported that she believes her 7 week-old female Bassett Hound puppy was stolen from her backyard.


Pharmacy reported that a female attempted to call in a fraudulent prescription over the phone.


Man reported that someone's vehicle left the roadway in front of his home and ran over a shrub and damaged his lawn. 

2/26/11 INJURY TO CHILD       1200 Block of W FRANK AV

On the morning of Saturday, February 26th, emergency room staff notified law enforcement that 30 year-old Julia Goodwin of Lufkin had brought in her 1 year-old child who was unresponsive.  Preliminary testing revealed the possibility that the young child may have ingested a dangerous drug or PCP.  The child was transferred to Texas Children's Hospital in Houston for further treatment.  The incident is still being investigated by the Lufkin Police Department.  Child Protective Services is also looking into the matter.  

2/26/11 BURGLARY              300 Block of DALE

Woman reported that sometime overnight, someone had entered her vehicle and took her purse.

2/26/11 THEFT                 300 Block of S CHESTNUT DR

Business owner report that some of his employees observed two male subjects running from the back of his building with tire rims in hand and leave in a vehicle parked nearby.  Owner reported that upon checking his inventory, he found he was missing a total of 27 rims he believes had been taken over the past few months.
