WELLS, TX (KTRE) – Arson investigators who were looking into several suspicious fires in Wells now suspect that Sidney Genthner, 58, burned down her own house.

Genthner was arrested in Tool, TX which is in Henderson County. She was charged for setting a storage building and her rent house on fire.

Last month three buildings caught fire in a Wells neighborhood, located off Highway 69 North. Two of the fires were ruled as arson.

Neighbors on East Odom Street began to worry when a shed, a storage building, and then a house went up in flames-all within about two weeks.

Cherokee County investigators are not releasing a motive at this time. Genthner is behind bars charged with two counts of arson. Click here for related story.
