LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - An Angelina County grand jury has charged a former nursing home worker accused of exposing himself to a 91-year-old resident and assaulting her when she refused to touch him.
Telesforo Vasquez, 25, of Lufkin, is one of 43 indicted on Thursday.
According to the police report, arrest warrants were issued following an investigation into an incident that occurred Nov. 24 at Castle Pines Rehabilitation Center, located in the 2400 block of West Frank Avenue.
The investigation revealed that Vasquez exposed his genitals to a 91-year-old female resident of the facility and directed her to touch his genitals, according to the report. When the resident refused, Vasquez forced her down, causing injury to her hip and buttock area.
Others named on the indictments include:
* Veronica Rodriguez, 36, of Lufkin, for 10 counts of burglary of a habitation and one count of theft: The Angelina County Sheriff's Office arrested Rodriguez in February. Authorities say Rodriguez may be connected to 20 burglaries in the East Texas area, stealing thousands of dollars in items from different homes in Jasper County, Nacogdoches, Polk County, Shelby County and Angelina County.
* Stephanie Marsh, 34, for false report: Lufkin Police arrested Marsh in October after it was revealed she allegedly filed numerous false reports to Child Protective Services.
* John Wesley Gilcrease, 33, of Lufkin, for tampering with evidence: Lufkin Police arrested Gilcrease in October after he allegedly tried to burn evidence that he was cooking methamphatemine in a house on Hubbard Street.
* Keith King, 22, of Lufkin, and Kevin Ledet, 30, of Lufkin, for aggravated robbery and aggravated assault: The pair are accused of hitting two unknown men with a bottle in May.
