3/4/2011 Nacogdoches Police Report

TRAFFIC STOP  400 ROBERTS ST

Two known subjects were found to be passengers in a traffic stop.  One subject was found to be in possession of marijuana.  The other subject was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia.  Both subjects were arrested and taken to the Nacogdoches Police Department for processing. 

CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE PROBLEM  1600 MARTIN LUTHER KING JR BLVD

Officer conducted a traffic stop and found marijuana in plain view by the driver.  Officer also discovered that the driver had a suspended Texas driver's license with a previous conviction.

BURGLARY OF A BUILDING  503 E MAIN ST

Unknown person(s)entered a local thrift store with force and stole tools, a TV, movies and other items.  No suspects at this time.

FRAUD FRAUD/SWINDLE/CONFIDENCE GAME  1925 E MAIN ST

A known person caused a government issued check at a local convenience store and several days later filed the check with the government as an unauthorized claim by completing a federal government affidavit.  The owner of the convenience store is being held accountable for the funds cashed out.

HIT AND RUN ACCIDENT  3200 SOUTH ST

The complainant advised that she was struck from behind in her vehicle as she was travelling on the roadway.  As she pulled into a known store, the other vehicle that struck her continued to travel, leaving the scene of the accident.

ALCOHOL OFFENSE  100 LLOYD ST

Officers responded to a report of a female vomiting in a parking lot.  It was discovered that the defendant had purchased alcohol for the female and the female was found to be a minor.

FOUND PROPERTY  312 W MAIN ST

Officers responded to the police department to speak with a citizen who found a backpack on the ground.  No information could be found on the owner.

EVADING ARREST  1424 NORTH ST

Officer attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation.  The driver then fled from officer in the vehicle.  The driver then jumped out of the vehicle and fled on foot.  Officers were able to locate the suspect and arrest him.  His driver's license was suspended with previous convictions and he had no insurance on the vehicle. 

OPEN EMERGENCY LINE ASSAULT SIMPLE  1500 DOLPH ST; 604

The complainant advised that the father of her child had been assaulting her throughout the day.  Officer observed minor injuries.  A report was taken but the complainant did not wish to file charges.

THEFT  1424 NORTH ST

Officers responded to CVS located at 1424 North St in response to a theft.  Upon arrival officers met with the suspect who was stealing items from the store.  The suspect was arrested and taken to the county court.
