3/7/11 Lufkin Police report

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

Disturbance       900 Block South Second Street

At approximately 10:30 PM on Sunday, March 06, 2011, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that approximately ten minutes earlier that date a known suspect assaulted the complainant in the parking lot of Courtyard apartment complex, located in the 900 block of South Second Street in Lufkin.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the male suspect used a shovel to strike the left sign of the complainant's body and then fled the area prior to the complainant contacting law enforcement.  The report stated that the responding officers did not observe visible injuries to the complainant and that a witness stated that the complainant attacked the suspect.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Assault                                                                 500 Block North Medford Drive

At approximately 8:00 PM on Sunday, March 06, 2011, a complainant appeared at Lufkin Police Department and reported that at approximately 3:45 PM that date a known suspect assaulted the complainant at the complainant's place of employment, located in the 500 block of North Medford Drive in Lufkin.  According to the report, the complainant stated that during a verbal argument the female suspect, one of the complainant's co-workers, grabbed the complainant's arm to prevent the complainant walking away from the suspect.  The report stated that the complainant did not display or report injuries and that the complainant was directed to contact the Lufkin City Attorney's office to sign a Complaint regarding Class C Misdemeanor Assault.

Criminal Mischief                                            600 Block Cain Street

On Sunday, March 06, 2011, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that an unidentified actor(s) damaged a window of the complainant's residence, located in the 600 block of Cain Street in Lufkin.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the actor(s) fired a small caliber firearm, possibly a BB gun, at the window, causing a small hole and a crack in the glass.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Theft                                                                     4400 Block South First Street

On Sunday, March 06, 2011, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that a female suspect failed to pay for a room rented at a hotel located in the 4400 block of South First Street in Lufkin.  According to the report, the complainant stated that at approximately 12:00 AM that date the female suspect checked-in at the hotel but was not able to pay the full amount of the room rental and the desk clerk agreed to allow the suspect to pay the full bill upon check-out.  The report stated that at check-in the desk clerk collected limited information concerning the suspect's identity and the suspect left the hotel without making payment for the room rental.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.
