Nacogdoches Police arrest Houston duo after drugs found in car

BEAUMONT, TX (News Release) -

NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KTRE) - Nacogdoches Police arrested two Houston men on Friday after officers said they found two liters of codeine in the car in which they were traveling.

Timothy Jemond Houston, 25, and Charles Ray Turner Jr., 31, are charged with possession of a controlled substance, a first-degree felony.

According to the police report, an officer stopped the vehicle for speeding on Friday and found the drugs and a pistol in the vehicle.

The charge is enhanced to a first-degree felony because of the amount of drugs they allegedly had in their possession.
