ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

ANGELINA COUNTY, Texas (KTRE) - The Angelina County Sheriff's Office has arrested a Lufkin man who is believed to have used his employer's debit card without her permission.

Christopher John Straps, 28, is charged with debit card abuse, a third-degree felony.

According to an arrest warrant affidavit, a 79-year-old woman called the sheriff's office on March 4 to report that Straps, who worked for her, had taken her debit card on numerous occasions and used it. She said he would replace it after each use so she would not know he used it.

Commercial Bank of Texas provided video of an ATM withdrawal made from the card, which shows Straps making a withdrawal on the woman's card, according to the report.

The investigator obtained a warrant for Straps' arrest on Wednesday. Deputies served the warrant to Straps at his residence on the same day, where he was arrested without incident.
