HOUSTON COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - HOUSTON COUNTY, Texas (KTRE) - A Crockett man, who suffered a gunshot wound, was booked into the Houston County Jail on Monday for allegedly breaking into his estranged wife's home.
Jerred Reed, 23, is charged with criminal mischief and burglary.
Houston County Sheriff's Office deputies were dispatched to a residence on County Road 2120 on Monday after receiving a 911 call in which a woman said she shot a man who was trying to break into her house.
When deputies arrived, they learned Reed had attempted to enter the house of his estranged wife, using a pitchfork, according to the report.
Reed was located at his residence on Gibbons Lane and appeared to have a gunshot wound to his upper arm. He was taken to a Crockett hospital, then later booked into the jail.
