Lufkin Police arrested alleged coke dealer on disturbance call

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - Lufkin Police have arrested a Lufkin man on three outstanding drug warrants after responding to a disturbance between he and his girlfriend.

George Mitchell, 25, is charged with three counts of delivery of a controlled substance and one count of assault.

According to the police report, officers responded to the disturbance on May Street on Wednesday afternoon. While there, they discovered Mitchell had three outstanding warrants, so they took him into custody on those and for a new charge of assault, stemming from the disturbance.

According to the report, Mitchell sold crack cocaine to three undercover agents on three occasions in 2010. Police obtained the warrants on Feb. 9.
