LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - Lufkin Police arrested a man on a traffic stop Friday night after they discovered a passenger had outstanding warrants for his arrests following an undercover investigation.
Frankie Dwayne Mark, 22, of Lufkin is charged with two counts of delivery of a controlled substance.
According to the police report, an officer conducted a traffic stop around 9:40 p.m. on the 1000 block of Hosea Dolphus Sr. Avenue, because the vehicle had tail lamps not working. When the vehicle came to a stop in the driveway of a residence, Mark got out of the vehicle and ran about 20 yards, but stopped when an officer told him to do so, according to the report.
Once the officer identified Mark, he learned police had two warrants for his arrest, so the officer took him into custody.
The warrants were issued Jan. 24, following an investigation by investigators during which Mark sold cocaine to confidential informants, according to the report.
