SABINE COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - SABINE COUNTY, Texas (KTRE) - A Louisiana woman died after driving head-on into another vehicle Monday afternoon in Sabine County, according to the Department of Public Safety report.
Lauren Griffin Jones, of Boyce, La., 58, was pronounced dead at 4:22 p.m. at a Hemphill hospital.
According to the report, Jones was driving a 2006 Mazda four-door at 2:30 p.m., eastbound on State Highway 21, 1.3 miles east of Milam, when she crossed the center stripe and hit a westbound Chevy pickup truck, driven by James Thomas George II, of Jasper.
George, who was wearing a seatbelt, was not injured in the accident. Jones was not wearing a seatbelt.
