SHREVEPORT, LA (RNN) – General Motors is expected to resume production at the company's assembly plant in Shreveport on March 28.
In a written statement released Friday, Employees should report to work at their regular start times. Although GM continues to monitor the situation in Japan, the company wants to resume production at the plant to support our customers, the news release stated.
GM had suspended production at Shreveport Assembly during this week due to a parts shortage related to the crisis in Japan. Eight-hundred employees were affected. The plant manufactures two of G-M's midsize pickup trucks, the G-M-C Canyon and Chevy Colorado.
