LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

BURGLARY/VEHICLE      100 Block of BURKE ST

Three women reported leaving their purses in a car while they went inside a night club, and when they returned, they found someone had entered the vehicle and stolen all three purses.

DISTURBANCE/DOMESTIC  SUNRISE

Woman reported that while she was standing outside the gambling shack off of Sunrise Street talking to another female, she was approached by a man who accused her of talking about his sister and struck her across the face with a horse whip.

FORGERY/COUNTERFEITI  1900 Block of TIMBERLAND

Store clerk reported that a male suspect attempted to pay for gas with a $50.00 check that was later found to have been reported stolen earlier in the day.  The clerk reported that when she became suspicious of the check, the suspect left without paying for the gas.  (See 1-11-006758)

BURGLARY              1100 Block of CALIFORNIA

Man who was watching a house for the an out of town owner related that he checked on the house to find the door kicked in and a TV and a pit bull puppy missing.

TERRORISTIC THREAT    500 Block of VINE ST

Woman reported that her son had been receiving threats over a long going dispute with an older teen.

ASSAULT/AGGRAVATED    200 Block of E DENMAN AV

Woman reported that after their separation, her husband has been forcing his way into her apartment, and on one occasion threatened her with a knife.

HARASSMENT            1000 Block of SHERMELL ST

Woman reported that she has been getting harassing and threatening text messages from her ex-sister-in-law.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF     1200 Block of BRIARWOOD

Woman reported that her adult son broke out two windows of her house, and then threw the metal pipe he used through a third window before fleeing on foot prior to police arrival.

THEFT                 1800 Block of E DENMAN

Woman reported she was scammed out of nearly $500.00 by an unknown person who represented himself as an agent giving out government grants.

HARASSMENT            1800 Block of E DENMAN AV

Woman reported that a man, who is the ex-boyfriend of one her friends, has been sending her threatening and harassing text messages.

FORGERY/COUNTERFEITI  1000 Block of E DENMAN ST

Business owner reported that looking through their financial records, they found a check that had been obviously forged.

BURGLARY/VEHICLE      1100 Block of S TIMBERLAND

Woman reported that upon packing her vehicle to leave a motel, she discovered that her wallet had been stolen from the console inside the locked vehicle.  (See 1-11-006819 above)

CREDIT CARD ABUSE     2000 Block of S MEDFORD ST

Burke Center employee reported they discovered that a credit card used by one of their offices had several unauthorized transactions on it.

BURGLARY/VEHICLE      1200 Block of N MEDFORD DR

Manager reported someone had used a rock to break out the driver's side window of a vehicle parked at the business and had stolen some tools from the vehicle.
