LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - (KTRE) - A mother and her three children were taken to a Lufkin hospital after their vehicle veered off a wet road, striking a tree, according to Lufkin Police.
It happened around 11:30 Monday morning. Police said Carmen Martinez lost control of the Chrysler Pacifica she was driving down Whitehouse Drive. According to a police report, Martinez hydroplaned on the wet road through a barbed wire fence.
Martinez and her three children were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. They have all been treated and released from the hospital.
Martinez will be cited for failure to control speed.
