Polk County investigators still waiting to interview Commissioner who was shot Friday

POLK COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - (KTRE) - Polk County Precinct 1 Commissioner Robert "Bob" Willis is still recovering from gun shot wounds in a Houston hospital.  Captain Ricky Childers with the sheriff's department says investigators are waiting to conduct a formal interview until he is released from the hospital.

Willis was allegedly shot Friday evening by his brother Ben Willis at his home about three miles south of Livingston on F.M. 1988.

Childers did say they spoke briefly with the Commissioner on Sunday, but will not release any information about why his brother shot him three times.  Ben Willis was found dead at his home from an apparent self-inflicted gun shot.
