Barry Bonds won't testify in his own defense

(AP) - Barry Bonds won't be taking the stand in his own defense at his perjury trial in San Francisco.

The defense has rested without calling a single witness, and the jury has been told to be ready to start deliberating tomorrow. One of the five charges against Bonds has been dropped.

Baseball's all-time home-run leader is accused of lying to a grand jury by saying he never knowingly used performance-enhancing drugs.
