ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - A second wildfire in the past week has forest officials suspecting arson as the cause.
The fire has spread to 78 acres about 3.5 miles north of Texas 103 East and two miles south of the Nacogdoches County line.
At 4:15 p.m., Karen Stafford with the Texas Forest Service said the fire was contained and under control.
Firefighters still have their eye on a fire which sparked Sunday morning, seven miles east of Lufkin, on the same highway. Stafford said that fire has been under control as of Monday. It is believed to have started from someone burning in their yard.
Angelina County enacted a burn ban Tuesday morning.
