Authorities arrest Polk County man for stalking lawmakers

(KTRE) -  A Polk County man was arrested for allegedly stalking state lawmakers.  Kirk Berry was arrested by the sheriff's office special response team on a warrant for stalking.

They also conducted a search warrant at the residence in the Lakeshore II subdivision.

A joint investigation that included the Texas Rangers and the Attorney General's Office uncovered reports that Berry sent state lawmakers correspondence threatening the death of a peace officer, a judge and a lawmaker if certain demands were not made.

The details of the demands are not being released at this time.
