LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Lufkin Police have arrested a Lufkin man in connection to a double stabbing early Saturday.
Gerald Acevedo, 24, is charged with two counts of aggravated assault and one count of criminal mischief.
According to the police report, officers were dispatched to a residence on the 200 block of Garvan Street at 2:21 a.m. When they arrived, they learned Acevedo had been in a fight with two men who he stabbed, according to the report. After he stabbed them, the two victims fled into the house and Acevedo scraped their car with the knife, according to the report.
The two victims, aged 24 and 21, were taken to a Lufkin hospital, where they were treated for injuries. An update on their condition was not immediately available.
According to the report, Acevedo first stabbed the 26-year-old. While attempting to break up the fight, the 21-year-old was also stabbed.
Acevedo suffered a cut to the hand and he was taken to a Lufkin hospital under police custody to be treated for the injury.
Once he was released from the hospital, police booked him into the Angelina County Jail.
