A weak cold front will sag into East Texas today, providing East Texans with the chance to receive some showers and thunderstorms.
It should be noted that not everyone will get wet, but those that do, will get a heavy downpour. There is also a slight risk of severe weather, with small hail and gusty winds as the main threats with any storms that form along the front later today.
With our ongoing drought and the recent wildfires in the Pineywoods, we will take every single drop of rain we can get from Mother Nature, even if it means the storms are on the strong side.
