Lufkin/Angelina County Chamber of Commerce says goodbye to two of their own

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - The Lufkin/Angelina Chamber of Commerce says goodbye to two of their own. Vice President Tony Moline and Special Projects Manager Lyndee Matthews are leaving.

The Chamber's sending them off in style -- with a goodbye party.

Moline has accepted a position as the new President CEO of the Coppell Chamber of Commerce near Dallas. Matthews though, is staying in Lufkin to work in marketing for the Angelina County Humane Society.

Both say their last week at work is bittersweet.

"I really love the volunteers. I love the staff and I couldn't do any of it without them. I'm truly going to miss them. It is very sad but I am looking forward to my new opportunity and looking forward to coming back and visiting," said Moline.

"They've treated me so well. They do so much for the community and this place is great, Lufkin is great because of the type of people I worked with on a daily basis," said Matthews.

Moline has worked at the Chamber for five years-- Matthews three years.

Their last day is Thursday.
