Police: Lufkin man exposed self to boy at Walmart

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

Lufkin Police have arrested a Lufkin man accused of exposing himself to a boy in a Walmart restroom.

Joe Edd Taylor, 50, is charged with indecency with a child, a third-degree felony.

According to the police report, officers were called out to Walmart, located at 2500 Daniel McCall Drive, on Saturday at 5:30 p.m., in reference to a reported incident of a man exposing himself to a child. At the business, the officers met with the nine-year-old child, his parents and Taylor, who Walmart employees tracked down in the parking lot, according to the report.

The victim reported he was washing his hands in one of the restrooms when Taylor approached him while touching himself, according to the report.

The officers confirmed Taylor's identity and released him, but obtained a warrant for his arrest on Sunday.

Police arrested Taylor at 2:45 p.m. at his residence, located on the 500 block of North Douglas Street.
