LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Lufkin Police have arrested a Lufkin man accused of stabbing his wife's boyfriend three times with a steak knife.
Gabino Alonso, 32, is charged with aggravated assault, a second-degree felony.
According to the police report, officers responded to a disturbance at 3 a.m. Monday on the 700 block of Hoskins Avenue. Once on-scene, the officers met with a woman who said Alonso, her husband, stabbed her boyfriend during a physical altercation.
The officers determined Alonso used a steak knife to cause puncture wounds and lacerations to the man's torso and arm.
The victim was treated at a Lufkin hospital, where he was conscience and able to speak to officers. A current condition on him is not available.
The officers took Alonso into custody and booked him into the Angelina County Jail for the felony offense, as well as two outstanding municipal warrants.
