Faulk breaks hand in Rams' loss...Bucs' offense Sapped...Chiefs perfect

Seattle-AP -- What the St. Louis Rams really needed this afternoon was a victory at Seattle. What they got was an injury to Marshall Faulk in a 24-to-23 loss to the Seahawks, which drops the Rams to 1-and-2.

Faulk broke his left hand in the first half and was taken for X-rays early in the third quarter. He carried just 15 times for only 31 yards, although the Rams still managed to build a 23-to-10 lead.But the lead evaporated while Matt Hasselbeck was throwing two touchdown passes in the fourth quarter, the last one a three-yard grab by Koren Robinson with one minute left.The Seahawks improved to 3-and-0.(Atlanta-AP) -- Tampa Bay's offense ran so smoothly that even defensive tackle Warren Sapp had a touchdown in a 31-to-10 rout of Atlanta.Sapp scored his first career offensive T-D on a six-yard pass from Brad Johnson. Johnson also threw a 68-yard scoring strike to Michael Pittman, who finished with 82 rushing yards.Tampa Bay had four interceptions and held Doug Johnson to 95 passing yards.The Bucs are 2-and-1 after dropping the Falcons to 1-and-2.(Houston-AP) -- Dante Hall had another touchdown return while Kansas City was improving to 3-and-0 with a 42-to-14 romp over Houston.Hall took a punt back 73 yards for a T-D that gave the Chiefs a 28-to-7 lead.Priest Holmes scored the Chiefs' first two touchdowns and finished with 156 total yards, 89 on the ground. Trent Green passed for 262 yards and a T-D against the 1-and-2 Texans.(Foxboro, Massachusetts-AP -- Tom Brady's injured elbow didn't stop him from scoring the go-ahead touchdown in New England's 23-to-16 win over the 0-and-3 New York Jets.Brady snapped a 9-to-9 tie with a one-yard run in the third quarter, one period after injuring his elbow.Brady threw for 181 yards and Asante Samuel returned an interception 55 yards for the deciding T-D in the fourth quarter.The Pats are 2-and-1 after beating the Jets for the first time in six games at Foxboro.(Tempe, Arizona-AP) -- Green Bay's struggles continued with a 20-to-13 loss at Arizona.Jeff Blake threw a one-yard T-D pass to James Hodgins with three-59 left, and Dexter Jackson sealed the win by intercepting Brett Favre (fahrv) with ten seconds remaining.Blake had 273 passing yards, 99 of them to Anquan Boldin.Both teams are 1-and-2.(Washington-AP) -- The New York Giants went into overtime for the second straight game, this time winning 24-to-21.The Giants blew a 21-to-3 halftime lead before Matt Bryant nailed a 29-yard field goal to cap the first drive in O-T.Kerry Collins threw two of his three touchdown passes to Ike Hilliard, and Tiki (TEE'-kee) Barber ran for 126 yards.
