Stephanie Hill-Frazier, or Mama Steph as she has been dubbed by friends and followers of her food blog, has been cooking since she was old enough to stand on a kitchen stool beside her parents and grandfather at the kitchen counter, asking them to teach her how to make whatever it was they were cooking, which varied from southern-style cooking to fresh Gulf seafood dishes to Julia Child's French cooking and baking.
As an adult she became an English teacher and mother to three sons, continuing to hone her skills in her kitchen, trying to keep up with the ravenous appetites of growing boys, who are now all teenagers.
MamaSteph works in social media marketing, publishes her own food blog which she updates several times a week with new recipes and food photography (www.mamastephf.com), runs a small cookie delivery business, and teaches private cooking classes. She began working for KLTV in August of 2011 as a web producer and on-air cooking talent, which she thoroughly enjoys. She is a collector of antique bowls and recently enjoyed a series of cooking classes with 2010 Texas Chef of the Year, Jackson York, whom she credits with reigniting her love of classical cooking methods. She is excited to share her "foodie adventures" with the people of East Texas who love good food and family as much as she does.
