Nacogdoches Police arrest man for gun theft while investigating burglary

NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

Nacogdoches Police arrested a Nacogdoches man Wednesday night after police say they located multiple stolen firearms in his possession.

Andrew Wilson Martinez, 18, is charged with theft of a firearm and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.

According to the police report, officers were investigating a possible burglary on the 300 block of East Seale Street when they located multiple stolen firearms in Martinez's possession.

Martinez was booked into the Nacogdoches County Jail. A bond has not yet been set for his release.

Martinez has previous convictions for burglary and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
