Two billion people watched The Royal Wedding

An estimated two billion people around the world watched Prince William and Princess Kate tie the knot Friday morning.

The new Duchess of Cambridge said she and Prince William have had a great wedding day. In her first public comments since their marriage, Middleton told a photographer that she is "glad the weather held off." She said, "We had a great day."

In a ceremony seen by a huge crowd around the world, they were married at Westminster Abbey and then cheered by a million people as they paraded through London in an open carriage.

All eyes were on the lacy white gown with the low neckline that Middleton wore.  It was designed by Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen and was kept a secret from the public until the wedding. Middleton's "something borrowed" was a tiara that was handed down to Queen Elizabeth on her 18th birthday.

The couple, newly titled as the duke and duchess of Cambridge, will spend their first night as a married couple at Buckingham Palace.
