CROCKETT, TX (KTRE) - A Houston County grand jury has indicted four people on charges of child sex crimes. The indictments are the first time the suspects have been charged with the crimes, according to an employee at the district attorney's office.
Anthony Konta Terrell, 32, of Crockett, is charged with one count of aggravated sexual assault of a child and two counts of indecency with a child. He is accused of molesting three girls, one under the age of 14 and two younger than 17. The Crockett Police Department is investigating the case.
Sherita Nicole Hamilton, 28, of Crockett, is charged with three counts of sexual assault. She is accused of having sex with a boy under the age of 17 on three occasions. Crockett Police are investigating the case.
Rex Earl Johnson, 19, of Crockett, is charged with indecency with a child. According to the indictment, Johnson either had sex with or exposed himself to a girl under the age of 17. The Houston County Sheriff's Office is investigating the case.
Steven Deshawn Harris, 18, of Palestine, is accused of engaging in sexual intercourse with a girl under the age of 14. Grapeland Police are investigating this case.
Terrell and Johnson have yet to be booked in the Houston County Jail on the charges. Hamilton and Harris have been booked in and out on bonds.
