ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - A Lufkin woman was arrested early Thursday on an outstanding warrant of exposing her five-year-old daughter to PCP.
Natasha Rena Scott, 31, is charged with endangering a child and public intoxication.
Lufkin Police obtained a warrant for endangering a child on Nov. 9, 2010, following an investigation in October. According to an arrest warrant affidavit, Child Protective Services reported to Lufkin Police that Scott was using PCP around her children. Scott interviewed with a detective and admitted to using the drugs in front of her children recently, according to the affidavit.
Police conducted a hair test with Scott's five-year-old daughter, which came back positive for phencyclidine and codeine.
The Lufkin Police report states Scott agreed to surrender to the charge on Nov. 11, but did not follow up on the agreement. Police then entered the warrant into state and national arrest warrant databases.
The Angelina County Sheriff's Office arrested Scott on Thursday with an on-view charge of public intoxication and the outstanding felony warrant.
