NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

A Nacogdoches County jury sentenced a Nacogdoches man to 35 years in prison for his role in an armed robbery on the SFA campus in January.

The same jury found Jerry Don Thorn, 23, guilty of robbery on Tuesday.

According to SFA Police, a man said he was approached by two black males in a gold Toyota Camry in the parking lot between Hall 14 and Lumberjack Lodge. The passenger pulled a handgun and demanded the man's wallet and cell phone. The suspects then left the area going west on East College Street.

Demarcus Andre Wade, of Nacogdoches, is the other suspect in the case. He is scheduled for a pre-trial hearing on July 28, which will be followed with a jury selection for his trial on Aug. 22.
