SFA Plans For Long-Term Relationship With East Texas Communities

Once the funds are raised the question becomes what to do with them. University and community leaders met Thursday afternoon to discuss what the future holds in the relationship between SFA and East Texas.

The goal of the strategic planning session was to see how the university and community can build stronger ties and continue growing. Among the topics discussed were health care, teaching opportunities for students, the economic impact of the univeristy, and increasing public opportunities on campus. East Texas leaders say strengthening the bonds between SFA and the community is a win-win situation.

You can learn more about the long-term plans for SFA at an open forum next monday. That forum begins at 3 p-m in Regent Suite "B" in SFA's University Center.
