Lufkin man accused of holding gun, knife to girlfriend

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

Lufkin Police have arrested a Lufkin man accused of holding a gun to his girlfriend's head and a knife to her stomach.

Justin Omarray Dodd, 29, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

According to the police report, officers responded to an incident in the early morning hours of April 24 on Trenton Street. The woman reported Dodd stuck a gun in her face, but another person at the house intervened and got the gun away. Then Dodd got a knife and put it to her stomach, the other person again intervened, the woman said.

Dodd fled the scene before police arrived, according to the report.

Police obtained a warrant for his arrest and served it on him at Pilgrim's Pride in Lufkin, where he works, on Thursday night.
