ONALASKA, TX (KTRE) -

A married couple died Sunday following a two-vehicle wreck on U.S. 190 in Onalaska.

According to Police Chief Ron Gilbert, Timothy S. Gautreau, 56, and Madonna L. Gautreau, 55, both of Willis, were on the way home from a wedding at 3:45 p.m. and driving a 2010 Harley Davidson motorcycle westbound on U.S. 190 when they collided with a 2003 Chevy pickup, driven by Shannon Keith Burks, 22, of Corrigan. Burks was pulling out of Lakeside RV Resort and Marina, located at 15152 U.S. 190.

Timothy Gautreau was pronounced dead on the scene, Gilbert said, and Madonna Gautreau died at 8:30 p.m. at a Houston hospital. Burks was not injured.

Gilbert said police are continuing to investigate the cause of the wreck and more information may be available later this week.
