NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

A former manager at Melrose Water Supply, who has accused his board of wrongdoing, has been charged with forging a check from members of the board.

Jeffrey Douglass Holliman, 48, is charged with forgery.

Holliman, who resigned as manager last week, is accused of writing a check on Oct. 12, 2010, in the amount of $3,500 to another company and forging the names of two of the board members.

The Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office arrested Holliman on the charge shortly after obtaining a warrant for his arrest last week.

Holliman sent KTRE a lengthy email correspondence last week, alleging wrongdoing by the board.

According to Melrose Water Board President Jimmy Cordova and the department's attorney, Jeff Davis, a Texas Ranger investigation is underway and more charges could follow.
