Comedian hospitalized for apparent heart trouble

Los Angeles-AP -- Comedian Louie Anderson reportedly has been hospitalized in Los Angeles for an apparent heart ailment.

A Denver T-V station (K-U-S-A) reports Anderson suffered chest pains a week ago and was taken to a hospital. The comedian has performed several times in Denver, often for charity or benefit shows.

His condition has not been released.

Anderson's tour schedule has been canceled for the next several weeks. His agent in Los Angeles would not comment further on the nature of the problem or on Anderson's prognosis.

The 50-year-old comedian is a former host of the syndicated game show "Family Feud."
