One dead, two injured in two vehicle wreck near Diboll raceway

ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - One man is dead and two are injured after a vehicle and motorcycle wreck Saturday night two miles north of Diboll.

According to DPS, around 11:45 P.M. a 2008 Chevy pick-up towing a lane car hauler pulled out of the Pine Valley Raceway heading northbound on F. M. 2497.  They were struck by a Harley Davidson heading southbound on F. M. 2497.

The driver of the motorcycle, Stephen Burchfield, 51 of Huntington, was pronounced deceased by J.P. Donny Puckett.  His passenger, Rosliand Juneau, 36 of Lufkin, is in critical condition with internal injuries at Memorial Center of East Texas in Tyler.  Neither people on the motorcycle were wearing helmets, according to the report.

The driver of the Chevy pick-up, Clyde Haynie of Jewett, TX, was not injured.  His passenger, Coy Clossin, 25 of Jewett, was taken to Memorial Hospital in Lufkin for bruises and lacerations.  He is in stable condition.

Trooper David Hendry is the investigating officer.
