LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Lufkin Police have arrested a man after a witness said he was walking around naked in public.

According to the police report, Lufkin Police Department received reports of an unclothed male walking in the area of Chambers Park in Lufkin around 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Officers arrived at the scene and  located Jeremy Jarome Butler, 21, at his residence, located on the 300 block of Pershing Avenue in Lufkin. After discussing the witness' reports with police, Butler confessed to being unclothed in public but stated that his pants accidentally fell off while he was wrestling with another male, according to the report.

After asking Butler for additional details, police say Butler admitted he was not wrestling, but instead disrobing because he was hot before he decided to sit on the curb.

Police  found probable cause to believe that Butler exposed his genitals in a public place and was reckless about whether he alarmed or offended another.

Police booked Butler into the Angelina County Jail for offense of disorderly conduct, which is a Class C misdemeanor of that offense.
